indian technology in medicine....poor in oneword 25 yrs back atleast.. trivandrum medicalcollege is supposed2 be the largest limb fiting centre in asia..last month an nri lady came with amyoelectric prosthesis{ artificial hand workin by pickin nerve muscle action potentials}...we ..pg students see it first time..it was difficult 2 difrentiate it fm normal hand excellent finishin . but she came 4 a repair......................we stood ..pandaroo paranja pole kurukkante kayyil thenga kittya pole

our thechnician also dont know..the lady was fm uk...that prosthesis costs 4 lac rs...desperate that we hav missile technology of agni and prithwi but none 2 make even an artificial little finger......y??
