Prince of Persia: The Two Thrones

Game of the Month:
Dec 2005
Prince of Persia: the Two Thrones
The game was first built in 1989. From 2D to 3D the game now has dedicated fans
and followers. But it is seen that a game is good in its earlier versions but
loses the grip when new versions come out. The same story is seen in the case of
Prince of Persia Warrior Within. Will The Two Thrones make any change to the
image of the game only time will tell us that.
This is a Ubisoft release so it is bound to undergo a major change because
Ubisoft always has the same game with a new feel and features. Will POP:TTT survive the fight against Quake 4 which is much more
popular and totally in demand even in the multiplayer playing groups in India as
well as global level.. The
features slow-motion mode is to give you a movie like experience similar to Max
Payne 2. There is a large difference between both the games though the effect
would be the same. I got to play the demo which was a non-connected mix of
levels. I did not understand what was going on cause the levels were not
continues.
The storyline in The Two Thrones is shrouded in mystery, not least of all
because the demo we've been playing features only a sampling of disconnected
levels taken from the final game. But then, the prince himself doesn't really
know what's going on at the outset of the game, either. After spending years on
the run from the Dahaka, the horrible time beast that haunted him in Warrior
Within, the prince has finally returned to Babylon, expecting to escape his
tortured past and finally settle in for some peace and quiet in his own kingdom.
Upon arriving, however, he's greeted by a rather unpleasant surprise: His land
has been invaded and his people slaughtered, and his love, Kaileena, has
unleashed the sands of time in order to combat the menace. The prince will again
have to face off against waves of sand-zombie bad guys, and figure out who the
hell is making trouble in his homeland and how he can stop them. Without giving
away too much of the storyline, as this is the third and presumably final entry
in the trilogy, you can expect some blasts from the prince's past to show up and
bring things full circle before all is said and done.
The graphics sure are impressive and will be heavy on your systems. In India the
hardcore gamers will surely buy the game but the secondary gamers which is the
majority of the market will prefer to play other action and multiplayer games
rather than POP:TTT.
