Greetings Ladies!

Scholarship can sometimes be a vastly overrrated thing.

Having endured rather more education than is good for me, I have a horrible habit of having to check every single source of any proposition put forward to me.  (Ask the male I DONT share living space with - the poor man has to justify everything he says with at least three traceable authorities.  Fortunately, he IS an excellent historian and is able to take the punishment that most cannot).

During my recent short period of decrepitude, I decided to read 'The Templar Revelation', Picknett, L. & Prince, C., Corgi Books, (1998).  This book is a tour de force of propositions, leaps of faith and interesting tangental arguments.  Now, there is nothing wrong with said tours de force, as long as you don't have people like me reading them.

Instead of resting quietly in my boudoir,  I was up and down from my bed to log onto the internet and check every reference.

There is something to be said for scholarly rigour though - I found this little gem in praise of the female sex.

There are those who say that it was written by way of satire - what do you think?

Do let me know, either though comments or if you are not already a yahoo 360 member, via email at [email protected] .

As far as I can figure out, this book appears to be heading towards a conclusion that the templars and some of their chums were guarding secret knowledge about Goddess Worship (something I think there should be more of).

I will keep you posted.
