Do we care what Don Imus says or thinks? If a mexican rapper said "Chinga tu Madre" in a mexican rap song on Telemundo, would there be a comparison to what he feels about his mexican mother and what Don Imus would have to say about Mexican women? Would there be an outcry by mexican people to hang the mexican rapper's laundry out for everyone to see because of what Don Imus has to say about mexican women?
Hell no! Primo, because you would never have seen or heard about Imus on telemundo; beta, Spanish language media is responsible for the policing of the content of their own programming and their listeners aren't giving a rat's ass about what you or I think about their cultural nuances in speech or otherwise or whether or not you or I even UNDERSTAND that speech or those nuances. It seems that it is only us, the Blacks who always have to apologize for being racial while cowaring under the scrutiny of THEIR cultural considerations and biases.

Why do we have to explain or apologize about what should be our sovereign dialogue with ourselves? Fuggeddaboutit! No matter what we say and/or do as a people, Black people can never be racist because racial superiority is mythology, especially in the lieu of the fact that we are "the original man, from the original land with the original plan. With great civilizations in their darkest hour, but using the devil's beguiling power they've descended on our masses like a vulture, trying to strip us of our culture."

And as long as BET is owned by Time/Warner and nigguhs don't have a "clear channel", none of what we say is subject to admissabilty in the court of white neo-pop opinion. We need to just "kujichagulia" our own shit, and the media needs to learn to be students of us not we of them. In other words, "Do as we say, not as we do. If I need Don Imus' (or Reverend Sharpton's) opinion I'll ask for it."
