I was kinda upset earlier today because I'm going back to work soon. But my son is 7mths now and since I work at the post office, overtime is about to kick into high gear.
So as far all of you that have greeting cards business...keep up the good work!
Anyway.. I know I need to get alot of warm market that's been asking about me at work. So I need to start kickin that into high gear. But what's the killer part is my wellness company put out their "black friday"! So from today to Nov 30 anyone who wants to be a customer or a representative can do so with just $1 instead of $29. I must have started jumping up and down on the phone when I heard the call. I haven't been so happy about going back to work in a loooooong time.
I'm about to snap!
It's bad enough they changed their compensation plans for high payouts in a shorter time the beginning of this month... now this.. Sheeesh..this is going to be a great year. I've been doing my health surveys for just customers and got 5 appts today. Don't you just love the holidays. This is the time when more people are concerned about health, esp. cold/flu season. I'm on it.
And my goodness.. It's freakin cold here in Chicago. Too cold too early. I'm glad I have my tea. No one is sick yet.
Now, I forgot to say how my Thanksgiving went. My grandma pasted a week before my son was born. So this was going to be hard on mom. My grandma always made the sweet potato pies for everyone. About 10-12pies. So this was my 1st year ever making a sweet potato pie. I went online and did a search and got 2mil recipes for sweet potato pies! Whaaaaaa... I decided on the Mississippi recipe with 2tbsps of Capt. Morgan spice rum.
I made 4. We have 1/2 of pie left. My mom can't make sweet potato pies right. They taste too sweet potato-e. So since my middle name is my grandma's, she points to me and says, "It's up to you Philena.." then my cousins chant, "You can do it..(like the movie, lit mickey)
My dad fried a turkey.. that's GONE NOW! plenty of sides left. We thought about buying another turkey and fryin, but about time it defrost it'll be sunday. I just freeze most of the stuffing for Christmas anyway.
And that's my day. I'll keep you posted on how it goes this week.
