Today is Super Bowl Sunday! Whoooa! Go Bears! I'm unofficially rooting for the Bears because...well, I like animals! LOL! Yes that's right, I like Yogi and Boo Boo, and since I especially like the movie "Brother Bear" I am going to root for the Bears, and i don't care what anybody says. :) Thursday I stopped in Bakersfield California on my way to San Diego to pick up the first www.PetSearch911.com door hangers. I
learned a long time ago from watching and listening to my uncle, that
you sometimes have to JUST DO IT. He would tell me, you can't over
think everything, which I have a tendency to do. When I was 11, I
planned my first lemonade stand. The boy down the street, had a shoe
shine chair, old and beat up, and he also had a lemonade stand. One
day he was in a hurry to go buy a comic book. he told me that if I
watched his lemonade stand, I could have whatever I made. I didn't
have anything else to do so I said yes. I couldn't help wondering why
he was willing to let me have all of the money instead of just
closing and putting a I'll be right back sign on the stand. And he
said, he didn't want to loose any customers. He said when people want
some lemonade, they want some lemonade, and if he couldn't find
someone to watch his stand for him, he would wait until the morning
to get his comic book. After that I knew I wanted to have a lemonade
stand, or something of my own. So when I turned 11 I started making my
plans to have the best lemonade stand on the block, problem was, I
just kept planning and planning. I made twenty two drawings of what
the lemonade stand should look like and i asked everybody what they
thought it should look like, because i wanted mine to be the best.
The the little boy move away, and when i saw people coming to the
spot where his old chair was, I remember thinking, 'I should go tell
them that I was planning to put up a lemonade stand' but I could
honestly say when. Then every day fewer and fewer people came up to
his abandoned chair, until no one showed up or even passed by it. if
I had just gotten started with what I had, or what was available, i
probubly would have had the best lemonade stand on my block, because
I would have had the only lemonade stand on my block. So when this
very nice guy I met at a rally for education in Sacramento told me he
could make me some basic Door Hangers today, I said great I'll be
there between 2:30 and 3:00 on my way to San Diego. I'm very excited
because I'm taking a ACTION. See ya next entry. Amanda.
