Pool Craze! ![]() This past week has been fun. Last weekend we got the sip-n-dip pool out for the kiddies and went swimming. Grandma and Grandpa came over to watch and we all had a blast. Nolan wasn’t too keen for the water on Saturday, but loved it on Sunday. It was also hinted to me that we should have an in-ground pool when the kids get older. I would much rather have an above-ground pool with a chain-link fence around it. The water is still wet and nobody can trip and fall in. I know, I know, practical is boring. Maybe we should just get a membership to the new YMCA and be happy. The kiddies’ communication skills are getting better. They are starting to use a little logic, too. I can often get them to hand me stuff if I hold out my hand and ask for it. Gage is moving himself forward when on the rocket car. All three of them can stand on their own with Katherine standing up by herself. She is also attempting to put on her own clothes. She can also pull herself onto the couch, which is going to make things more difficult. Last Friday, the kids went to the doctor’s office to get shots. They were worried about the enormous size of Gage’s head, so we scheduled a CT scan for Wednesday to check for water on the brain. Of course, the results came back negative, but it’s better to be safe than sorry. He just has a big gass noggin. Thursday night, Katherine took her first step with much persuasion from Grandpa. She has since taken a few more steps, but only one at a time. Not quite there yet. Saturday, the boys got a haircut. WOW, do they look different. If you scroll down you can see the before and after photos. Sunday was the day Mom and I caught up on laundry, dusting, vacuuming, and baby-proofing the basement. Dad also got a wild hair and moved furniture around in the front room. We were ON IT, BABY! Any way, everyone have a good Fourth of July.

Sounds like you have the hang of three kiddos and now you are moving onto bigger fish to fry (furniture rearranging). The kids are precious!
