Yesterday, we took the kids to the zoo. It was a gorgeous day, about 80F with a nice breeze. The zoo had recently just opened its new penguin exhibit, and of course, we stood in line to see them. I wasn’t that impressed with the exhibit, and I was even less impressed with the people trying to crowd in to see them. I was just in awe of people cutting in front of the strollers to see a frickin’ bird. The rest of the zoo was great though.

The Giraffe exhibit was the best because one of the giraffes had walked into the ditch next to the railing and was only about 10 feet from us. Some of the kids around us were pulling twigs off bushes and hand-feeding the giraffe. Completely cool.

Grandma has taught Katherine how to dance. Kaso will do this dance while sitting, which is most likely “The Twist.” She will get her arms swinging back and forth and smile the whole time she is doing it. I was lucky enough to catch her and the boy’s dancing to YMCA on video this Saturday. The boys do a kind of head bob. The video is classic.
