Kids say and do the darnedest things. That was the case yesterday in our house. First, Gage was trying to walk around with his eyes closed. He was doing this while mommy and I were eating last night. He would close his eyes and then start walking in the kitchen. At first he was very surprised when the refrigerator suddenly appeared in front of his face. The he got smart and started putting his hands out in front of him like Frankenstein’s monster. Of course, when we went to get the video camera, he stopped doing it.

Nolan said a new word last night before we went to bed. I was reading a “First Words” book to them that had pictures to go along with the words (naturally). The book included the words fish, cat, dog, flower, boy, girl, etc. we then put that book down and started reading a different book that Gage had picked out. Nolan grabs the previous book and opens it. It falls open to the girl – boy page and he shouts, “Boooooyy!”

I’m not sure those stories were as interesting as the caveman clambake story, but we can always try.
