Well yesterday, we had our first picnic for families of autistic children. We had a good turnout, 33 all together. It so hot and sticky, so I was hoping all would be fine. All forms of autistic individuals were there and did seem to have a good time. My son had hoped to have more boys close to his age. He did get bored. The noise and the amount of people did cause him to act out in a negative way though. After the numbers of people left, he did get better.

People showed up that wanted to volunteer and help in any way. I feel so happy about the turn out and knowing people in the area are glad to have our support and see our vision for the community. I can't wait to start other projects and get more help for our families.
