Everyday, can be a struggle or a challenge, if you let it be. I'm not perfect, I'm a mother of an autistic child. Having a day without a meltdown is a victory. Meltdowns/rages are not fun and knowing that your not alone is alot. It took six years and more than 10 doctors to diagnose my son. Your world becomes his world and sometimes your isolated where you feel no one understands or sees your heartache. I decided to do something about it, create a support group for parents/families of autistic children. No such group is here and I wanted to help other families to escape the isolated world that we can sometimes live in. I have felt the aloneness, despair, heartache, grief, and stress. I now know of the lesson as my son teaches me everyday in this journey. Love survives, heals, and makes us new again.
