People in the old time were outdated, they rode horse,  today we have car. However, horse gave the old world a new idea : You can go to some place without walking. Car was built on this idea. An Italian car maker put a horse in the logo of his factory.

        
Freud's English was not that good. Oedipus complex was not
the right term, Oedipus didn't know the lover was his mother, so,
he loved her as a woman, not his mother. I can list out more mistakes
of Freud. However, I cannot deny Freud gave the world a new idea.

He started to study sex when people were uncertain of sex,
they thought sex was evil, dirty, bad; but for Freud, a new science. When
people were uncertain of dream, unconscience, ego, but for Freud, a new
idea called psychology.

Freud was a good example of surf the uncertainty, a century earlier than me.
He deserves the honor of Father of Psychology.
