So the other day, October 8, 2003, i found a snake on my sidewalk. when trying to remove him from my garage and house, i took some pictures of him . later, after the snake was released, it was identified by reference to the state of michigan's web site. i found out this little guy was my states most lethal snake. it larger form carries toxins which could be fatal, if bitten. my shoe was bitten. my poor, defenseless shoe.....
Anyway, this snake goes by the name Eastern Massasauga Rattlesnake (Sistrurus catenatus catenatus) |
