Spider-Shellby
So, i got this oyster-like thing, which is supposedly the cousin of the furby.  with more movable parts and a faster learning capability, these are creepy on their own.  i started with a broken ninja turtle toy (foot soldier car), a piece of erector set, and went to work.

cutting individual lines inbetween each leg for manuverability, i screwed the legs to the erector set.

originally, i was going to screw the legs directly to the shellby, but that would block access to the battery compartment and sound speaker.

once the legs were on, i started to paint.  masking off the important parts of the face, i added reds, blues and purples.

after adding the "abdomine", the ball, i touched up the rest, painted a cool spider on the ball, and the spider shellby was born.

this piece was made specifically for that collector in NJ.
