| Hey. so this little guy is a shellby. this interactive toy is the "cousin" of the toy known as the furby. a friend of mine mailed this one to me and asked me to customize it for her. i wanted to go with a spider-type design, but ran into troubles when i started. |
| you see, the batteries that power the toy and the speaker for its sound is located on the bottom. this was a big problem because i was just going to glue the legs to the base. so i took a piece of erector set, and screwed the legs to the piece, then attached to the base. because it all went to gether with screws, it could all be easily removed to allow for battery replacement and leg removal. |
