My Letter
Below is a letter I wrote to a magazine over here, in reply to a woman who wrote in about Halloween, saying it was one of the eight black masses in the Witchcraft calendar. I felt I had to write in and set her straight, and speak up for all Wiccans and Witches. I wrote this letter a couple of years ago and now notice a few mistakes - there is only 30 days in April, not 31. Also, the wearing of costumes didn't originate in America, the Druids used to dress up in 'scary' costumes on Samhain to scare away evil spirits.
