| CONTINUED FROM PAGE ONE As the game moves along you discover new races of Pikmin that are similar to the original's but different color's. These Pikmin each have special abilities. For example the blue Pikmin can swim, and the yellow Pikmin can hurl bombs. The control in this game is laid out in an easy to understand manner. Even people who hardly ever play video games will get the hang of this in about 15 minutes. One joystick is used to move while the other is used to command the Pikmin. The A button grabs and throws Pikmin, while X disbands them. The Sound in this game is my only major complaint. The music, while not terrible is tedious, and sometimes annoying. The sounds coming from the Pikmin are cute, but they also get old quick. The levels are well designed and highly detailed. The graphics of the forest's and rivers are particularly good. The main character Olimar, and the Pikmin have an almost cartoon quality about them. This game is filled with many puzzles to keep you on your feet and it offers a good challenge. I would recommend this game to anyone looking for a great one-player experience. Final verdict, Pikmin is a winner! |
