| Ozzy Osbourne Down To Earth Review By: Brian Alspaugh II 11/05/01 It's been six long years since Ozzy's last cd, so was it worth the wait? Hell yeah it's Ozzy what were you thinking? This album is by far his hardest outing yet. It also contains some of the best lyrics he has ever written. Here is a song by song breakdown of the album. 1)Gets Me Through awesome song, first single from the cd. an open letter to his fans 2) Facing Hell Possibly my favorite song on the cd. So good it's almost scary 3) Dreamer A nice ballad. Also one of the best songs on the cd. 4) No Easy Way Out Ozzy really put some time onto this cd. The guitar work from Zakk Wylde is abnormally good on this track 5) Something I never had This track is very catchy, a solid song 6) You Know... This one is way to short. This could have been a classic 7)Junkie It has some cool guitar but I'm not a big fan of this song 8)Running Out Of Time Tied for my favorite song on the cd. This is one of his best songs ever 9)Black Illusion Great heavy song, this one really rocks. 10) Alive An ok song. The lyrics are good but somehow it doesn't mesh well. 11) Can You Hear Them? A solid song with insightful lyrics. A good way to end the album. Be sure to pick this one up 8.5 out of ten |
