NHL Hitz Review 1/06/02
Imagine a fun game. A great game that takes all of the coolest parts of hockey and throws them together. Now get that picture out of your mind because were talking about Hitz 2002.
Now this should be expected since this is a game from Midway, but even so this game is still dissapointing. Now don't get wrong some people love this game and you might also, but in my opinion this is one of the most boring games I have ever played.
To sum up the same take NFL Blitz and translate to hockey. In my opinion this gets old very quickly. The annoucing is repetitive, the camera view is awkward and there isn't any variety in moves or play. There seems to be little or no strategy involved in the game, which turns each match into an endless back and forth race of goals.
While I don't like the game I will say that it has tons of extra's to pick up. Cool things like new teams, players and outfits.
If you have always dreamed for a NHL Blitz then by all means pick this game up. But if your looking for some variety in your games, or are expecting violent fun, this isn't it. Most of the game is racing back and forth and hitting some weak checks. Don't buy this game. I give NHL Hitz 3.5 out 0f 10. |
