Gamecube and X-Box Launch Games Impressions

Just thought I stop in with some impression's of Nintendo's launch games. I just played Wave Race and Luigi's Mansion for the first time. I also played Star Wars: Rogue Squadron and NFL Fever 2002 for the X-Box. The Gamecube display had a demo disk with three games. The X-Box was running NFL Fever 2002. Just added impression's for NHL Hitz 2002, FIFA 2002 and Project Gotham racing.

Tony Hawk 3
Tony Hawk has always been a fun game, and that pattern continues on the Gamecube. Unlike some people I have had no problem controlling it with the Gamecube Controller. The only problem I have with the game is that the music sucks.
Gamecube FIFA 2002
I bought this game and I am not disapointed. Expect a full review soon. Amazing graphics(of course) and great gameplay. You don't have to be a soccer fan to enjoy this game

Gamecube Waverace: Blue Storm
If you liked the first waverace, you will like this one. Screenshots don't do this game justice. The water looks great, the control is responsive and it doesn't have the annoying announcer from it's prequel on the Nintendo 64. The controller is great for this game, it fit perfectly to my hand. This could be the best controller I've ever played with.

Gamecube Luigi's Mansion
This is another one with great graphics. The whole game feels like a saturday morning cartoon. It was pretty cool, i would have liked it more if I could get somewhere. I couldn't find the door to get thru and all the rest were locked. Looks like it's going to be a really fun game

NHL Hitz 2002
Stale, Repetitive, Boring, Unoriginal. Pick your description, this game sucks! Imagine NFL Blitz or NBA Jam and you have this game. Tedious gameplay leads this game to the trashcan. Full review coming soon

Gamecube Star Wars Rouge Squadron II
I don't really like Star Wars. With that being said, WOW!! The most graphically impressive game I have ever seen. It is a fun game and the visuals were breathtaking. It's amazing just 10 years ago the Genesis was the height of graphical power. Full review of this game coming soon. The first level is really fun, you start off by trying to destroy the Death Star.

X-Box Project Gotham Racing
What an amazing, advanced, breathtaking pile of crap! This racing game is slow and just plain unfun. But I didn't like Gran Turismo either so you may like this one.

X-Box Munch's Oddesyee
The only game X-Box has going for it at Launch is dead or alive 3. This game is repetitve, unoriginal and just plain boring. Plus X-Box's clunky awkward controller doesn't help things.

X-Box NFL Fever 2002
I was hoping to see Dead or Alive 3 which I'm sure is going to be a great game. Instead I had to settle for NFL Fever. This game has gotten lukewarm reviews so far, and they are justified from what I have seen. It looks like a NFL2K knock-off which worse controls and a jittery announcer. This game isn't a display of what the X-Box can do.
