GERMAN CARAWAY MEATBALLS


1 lb ground beef		1/4 C fine dry bread crumbs
1 tsp salt		        Dash pepper
1/4 tsp poultry seasoning	1 Tbsp snipped parsley
1/4 C milk		        1 egg
2 Tbsp oil		        1 can condensed beef broth
� C chopped onion		1 3 oz can chopped mushrooms
1 C dairy sour cream		1 Tbsp flour
� to 1 tsp caraway seed

1. Combine ground beef, bread crumbs, salt, pepper, poultry seasoning, parsley, milk, and egg; mix lightly.
2. Shape into 1 � inch balls.
3. Brown slowly on all sides in hot oil, shaking frequently.
4. Add broth, mushrooms, and onion.
5. Simmer covered for 30 minutes.
6. Blend sour cream, flour, and caraway seed; stir into broth.
7. Cook and stir �til mixture thickens.
8. Serve with spaetzle.
