Mr. Chris Heckman
Prerequisite: Art Foundations
Recovery Fee: $20.00
Course Outline
This class is the first in a series of classes designed to develop skills in drawing. Students will practice transforming three-dimensional imagery into two-dimensional planes with the use of various techniques and materials. Lessons will focus on the development of direct observation.
In order to facilitate the seeing process involved in drawing, the student will be required to have a basic understanding of art vocabulary germane to drawing, take tests and quizzes, and be involved in class critiques.
In this upper level class we are striving for process experimentation and the development of quality work, composition strength, and conceptual themes.

and class contribution, will be recorded in the grade book a minimum of every
five class days.
● Journal/Practice, (40% of grade), will be graded at the end of each quarter.
● Portfolio, (40% of grade), consisting of six of the student’s strongest images. Also included are all additional work outside of the journal. The portfolio will be graded at the end of the semester.
