Vision Farm
Nestled in the beautiful Ozark Mountains of south-central Missouri, Vision Farm encompasses 40 acres of wooded land. The farm is currently occupied by Roger and Carolyn (that's me!), with our two faithful canine assistants, Bear and Sugar. Together, we raise and tend our small herd of milk goats and a few wethers.

This season, Spring of 2002, we are milking two goats: Bonnie, the herd queen, and Ivory. We have saved three doelings from our kid crop this year, so next year if all goes well we will be milking five. Within a couple of years we hope to have enough milk and milk products to launch our homestead project, Butthead Industries.

With plenty of brushy undergrowth to satisfy their browsing  needs, and good hay, minerals, salt, and a little grain to supplement their intake, our goats are growing strong and healthy. Every day we add to our knowledge of goat husbandry. The internet has been a valuable source of information in our quest to learn all that we can learn about our choice of livestock (my, my! that's such a cold term to apply to my goats, who have become my friends and daily companions!). Some of the sites that have been most helpful and interesting are listed in the "links" section.

This web site is just beginning! As I learn more about building the pages, I'll add plenty of text and pictures. I hope you'll enjoy your virtual visit with us. Come back and visit often, because there'll probably be something new you haven't seen yet!
This is an aerial view of Vision Farm, in the Missouri foothills of the Ozark Mountains. We're kind of perched on a hilltop, with a pretty nice view all around.
