There was a movement in Sweden to try to make this song the National Anthem of Sweden, but it wasn't possible, 'cause the name/word Sweden is never mentioned in the song. Because there is no reference to Sweden in the song, the song became popular among other Nordic countries. Anyway, it is surely a beautiful song, with wonderful lyrics.
