I am working on a mainstream piece for WORDHOUSE and toying with a sci-fi Western short story collaboration.
I am still a semi-regular contributor to PLANETBIKER magazine which is a regional publication for motorcycle folk.
I have been meeting with my good friends Laura Hutchison and Leslie Hubanks at Borders on Wednesday evening for my weekly dose of writer sanity. This has actually gotten me to work on short stories again which has been very satisfying. I hadn't realized I'd missed doing them so much. Leslie and Laura are great writers. I'm trying to get them to pump out some short stories with me. Our meetings have certainly kept me inspired
As far as longer projects go, I am still researching my Alternate Fantasy Western and plotting my sci-fi adventure novel. I had gotten some great momentum going on the sci-fi piece and then due to some insanity at my day job I fell off the production wagon. I hope to be stepping it up again soon.
I am plotting and planning for my Writers Guest of Honor duties at Contraception 19 in Kansas City. The theme this year is CAMP CONTRACEPTION. My wife Sally and my good friend Audree Hitchcock have some fun planned and hopefully we will be able to pull it off.
