| Air Illinois DeHavilland Twin Otter, Cape Girardeau, Missouri, late 1970's Air Illinois spread her wings in 1970 headquarted in Carbondale, Illinois at the Southern Illinois Airport. Original destinations were: Carbondale, St. Louis, Cape Girardeau, Mo., Quincy, Ill., Springfield, Ill., and Chicago Meigs Field. Cities were added throughout the 70's and 80's. Eventually going out of business as a result of a crash in 1986. | |||
