. ASTHMA Revolutionary treatment - effective results Asthma is an affliction that can
present itself unexpectedly as an isolated crisis or persistently. Asthma
generally begins in infancy, but onset is possible at any age. Infantile
asthma persists for some years, generally until puberty, when the attacks
disappear without treatment. Children frequently outgrow asthma and sometimes
the symptomatology disappears for the rest of the patient's life, but in many
cases the disease may start again during the third or forth decade of life. The duration of an asthma attack
could vary and the attack typically ceases slowly but can be stopped with
symptomatic treatment. On the other hand, this disease generally presents
symptoms cyclically, perhaps every afternoon at the same time and follows a
circadian rhythm. The symptoms are the consequence of the partial obstruction
of the bronchial tree from the increase of secretions, the mucous hypertrophy
or the spasm of the peribronchial muscles Because asthma manifest in
pulmonary symptoms, the cause of the disease is usually sought in external
sources directly assaulting the lungs. The first suspect is the quality of
the air, and it is analyzed for its temperature, humidity, movement, odor,
and suspended particles of dust, pollens, hair, feathers, etc. It is true that in many cases the
quality of the air can be the initial irritant that starts the asthma attack
in a predisposed person, but it is not the REAL CAUSE! Asthma is always the body’s
response influenced by a METABOLIC MISTAKE in the assimilation of a specific
food; the severity or the reaction can be different for each person. That
means that asthma is not caused by a defect or condition of the nutrient, or
by external irritants, but the anomaly, the idiosyncratic reaction of the
patient to some food. The same nutrient can be perfectly metabolized by
almost all other persons. We will talk about this concept straight away. Human beings cannot live without
the air contacting the lungs’ alveoli, but the irritating air does not bring
on a crisis if there is no metabolic mistake in the body. Almost all asthma attacks occur
during the night when the environment of the patient doesn't include cats,
horses, birds, old books, perfumes or other irritants, considered
"allergens". That means that the patient is in the best situation
for NOT to have a crisis; it is impossible for him to be in better
surroundings. It is puzzling then why the quiet, clean and warm place would
be more irritating than the contaminated air of the streets with obviously
more allergens. To justify the theory of aeolian origin of the disease, house
dust is blamed because it is found in even the cleanest rooms. Why should
house dust be worse than the outside dust or street dust! A common way to seek to discover
the possible cause of asthma is to use the allergy test, but the test results
are misleading. In most cases the patient who eliminates all the foods that
are identified by the test, continues to have asthma attacks. The allergists who use this test
are on the right track, but the test is not reliable enough to find the
nutrient cause of asthma. We have to keep looking for a more dependable test! The allergy test is misleading as
to the origin of the disease, because the identified foods. Generally don’t
match with the patient health. We can learn that this method does not lead to
finding the cause of the disease, at least until a more confident system is
found. Finding the correct diet for each
patient by chance, by hazard, is more than difficult; I would say impossible,
because the offender can be any nutrient and different for each patient. The
problem is not the structure of the food, but the metabolic condition of the
individual patient, probably related to his genetic heritage. Finally, continuing the analysis
of the currently accepted medical opinions, it is speculated that asthma is a
psychosomatic reaction to stress. This is an easy way to avoid the general
misunderstanding in the search of this disease’s pathology and accounts even for
the use of many unsuccessful treatments. All misunderstood phenomena in the
life of sciences, including medicine of course, had been given at first supernatural
or spiritual explanations. Blaming the mind as the cause of the pathogenie of
this disease serves only to discredit the psychologists and psychiatrists,
who could not obtain the good results with their treatments of the conduct
and in the psychotics patients. Medicine attempts only to treat
the symptoms , not the cause, of asthma : increase the bronchial amplitude or
reduce the activity of the bronchial glands. The use of steroids , a strong
drug, disturbs the endocrine system and produces side effects which are
sometimes even worse than the disease we want to cure , providingonly
temporary symptom relief but not curing the asthma. Now, after the previously slated
stands on the cause of asthma, we would like to share consider a DIFFERENT
EXPLANATION. We want to elucidate on our way to analyze asthma disease and
was developed from real cases of personal experiences and based on my
father’s observations, Dr. Jose G. Contreras P. , who wrote in his book
COMBUSTION CELULAR in Caracas (VENEZUELA ) in 1938. We have enough proof to say with
certainty that asthma is a disease closely tied to nutrition ; an
idiosyncratic reaction of a person’s metabolism to some nutrient in his diet
. At the beginning of the treatment we do not eliminate any food, from the
patient diet, because we don’t know what metabolic mistake the patient’s
system has. Thus, we have to search for the food that is the cause of the
symptomatology. This task becomes more difficult to identify because the
allergic reaction is not immediate; there are at least 24 hours between the
consumption of the offending food and the moment that the symptoms manifest. The cause and effect relationship
is more difficult to discover in the asthmatic reaction, unlike the instant
reaction to the insect, bites, etc. The food is eaten and taken along the digestive
track from the stomach and the intestines, where the nutrients get prepared
to be sent to the blood by lymphatic absorption and become utilized through
the metabolic process and used for life functions. If the metabolic process
goes right, no asthmatic manifestation is apparent and health is maintained.
But if some part of the absorbed nutrient ( probably the DNA) is not
compatible with the consumer’s system, the human body HAS NO ORGAN THROUGH
WHICH TO EXPEL the offending portion of the nutrient and the body searches
for a path to get rid of the unused nutrient. The solution that the body selects
is to react abnormally trying to expel the substance that it considers a
" foreign body" and under these conditions the body utilizes the
lungs as a possible route of eliminating it. SEARCHING FOR THE
‘CAUSING-FOOD’ It is absolutely essential that
the physician know exactly all the foods the patient consumes, so that all
potential "causing-food," can be identified by the hour that the
crisis begins; in the case of asthma is between 24 to 36 hours after
ingestion. To start the search we reduce the diet, in Venezuela, to the
following substances, to be consumed in any combination or quantity: Water Nothing else! Not even traces!
Until now, we have not found any asthmatic reaction to these foods. This diet
has to be kept for at least two weeks; no medicine should be taken (if
possible) because drugs interfere with the time of biological metabolic
reaction. If the patient is taking any medicine, it is necessary to reduce
the dosage slowly, as any physician knows. If the medicine is cortisone or
any substance of the same steroid group, the withdrawal time is much longer,
because these substances interfere so intensely with the metabolism, as know
by therapists, that their actions continue for a long time. If a patient
follows the diet for one or two weeks, he will be free of asthmatic symptoms.
In the case than an asthma attack
should appear within a day and a half after the ingestion of the new food,
the attacks will occur in a circadian way every 24 hours for some days if no
treatment is initiated. This food must be eliminated from the patient’s diet
for at least six months. After a few days, the respiratory conditions become
normal and the patient is ready for a new personal nutrition test. The
process is repeated with all the foods the patient is likely to want / have
in his diet until each of them is either ruled in or ruled out. In general, it is necessary to
eliminate only two or three foods from the asthmatic patient’s diet for a
long time and in rare cases for life. In the case of adults the
suppression of the food is for once and for all if the person wants to be
