| Quidditch this Term
Billy Raven The Quidditch season this term is going to be a hectic one for all six houses. The schedule only has three single games and the rest of it has double-headers. The first game is Penshire versus Gryffindor, which will be a tough play on both sides. Penshire has yet to lose a game in two seasons, but with all the missing-in-action players, it might be a rough start for the cranes, but I wouldn�t count them out. Next up will be a double header with the morning game of Slytherin against the Crazy Claws, and that afternoon Paddington against Hufflepuff. This will be a great test for the polar bears since this will be there first ever game, this might be one to watch. The snakes and birds are arch rivals, so this too will be a game to watch. The following double header will be the snakes returning to the pitch just after playing the Ravens, so depending on that game�s outcome, we won�t know what kind of mood the cunning serpents will be in, and they play Penshire. The second game will be Gryffindor and Hufflepuff with Gryffindor having two weeks off and Hufflepuff playing back to back another game. Poor Hufflepuff, they turn around and play again! This time against the Cranes, who also just played, we might need some medics on the sidelines for this one folks! The second game, that week, will be Ravenclaw and Paddington, with this being the second game for both teams and no rest for the polar bears. The fifth week we see another double header with Ravenclaw turning around and playing again, this time against Gryffindor who had two weeks off to prepare and Paddington against Penshire. The cranes had two weeks off and the bears are re-entering the field having just played. The sixth week, another double header and the polar bears play yet again! There is hardly time to recover, and this time against Gryffindor, a team who has also just played a game. Both teams will be pooped by this time! Slytherin plays against Hufflepuff for the second game, with the snakes having quite a break, but that will change the rest of the season, and Hufflepuff had two weeks off, so both teams should be ready. The seventh week we see Penshire play Ravenclaw, both had two weeks off and I am sure ready for this game as always an interesting one. The second game will be Slytherin, who just played, and Gryffindor who also just played. Can everyone say �oxygen�? The eighth week we are down to a single game, Ravenclaw, who just played a game, and Hufflepuff who had two weeks off�.and the last week of the schedule sees Slytherin with two weeks off and Paddington with four weeks off. So as you see, the schedule is packed! Going to be an interesting season, so get your tickets and come early to find good seats! |

| Silver Serpents Getting Ready
A Snake This year we are going to be ready as our common room practice session is ending and the strategies are set. It seems this year everyone is getting involved with ideas and plans to make this one term the snakes return to the Quidditch pitch super ready. Though the house, in its history, owned two Quidditch Cups, we will not be satisfied until we get the cup again for our dear Head of House to polish at his leisure between classes and other activities. Our Captain, Riley Jake, has been working the team hard, and Beonca Aims has stepped up to Co-Captain with the support of the house. We feel both these young ladies will do their titles proud. Also on the team are Eltanin, Jess, Gred, Tim, Orianna, Arien, and a few others as back ups. I would tell you their positions, but then I�d have to kill you, besides, it won�t be long until game day! |
| Rumor Has It
BeeAims Rumors are flying with the latest HP movie delay, some speculate his has to do with the fact they are making this one a musical. Some say that both Snape and Ron Weasley have been taking singing lessons, though that is one door I would not want to put an ear to. Also heard is major caste changes are coming down the road including some of the bigger stars. It seems no matter how many voice lessons �some� characters get, it still sounds like fingernails down a blackboard. Surprisingly, Mr. Dursely and Dudley have voices like an opera start, who knew, but Mr. Dursely�s voice is, well, ever heard a cat when you accidently step on its tail? There was some fear with Harry singing due to his voice changing, but those fears were quickly set aside once he busted out in an old show tune from South Pacific. We will keep you abreast of the news and who is being replaced so watch for the next installment. |
| The Hit List Keeps Growing
By Tyler Keegan As reported to you last month, Soma Cruz had an obvious target placed on his back by Dawlish Ledgerwood for a bat mishap a few months� prior. No one has really seen Soma around much since Dawlish returned which is what raised my suspicions in the first place. Since then, Soma isn't the only one Dawlish seems to be targeting. He's been boasting lately of a hit list that just seems to keep growing! First on it was me for reporting Dawlish's evil plot last month. He stated something to the effect that I no longer have a very long life expectancy. Others who have also found their way on Dawlish's list are Ina Delarosa, Lana Laramie, & even Katie Sawyer. Their crimes? Taking Dawlish's self-appointed title of �Games Master� away from him during a recent Polar Posting Plunge. Do we have anything to really fear in all this? I personally think his public hit list he sports around the cr is really just a cover for the real one that no one knows about. What makes me believe this? The fact that; 1.) it's totally out of character for Joe Nworb not to be posting the Paddington smiley all over the cr, & 2.) the only place you can find Joe these days is in the locked Quidditch thread, a place Dawlish can't access since he's not on the Quidditch team. These changes in behavior on Joe's part sends up a red flag for me, one that has Dawlish's name all over it. My theory is that Dawlish blames Joe for tipping me off to their secret plan to wipe out Soma. What Dawlish doesn't know, though, is that I wasn't tipped off by Joe or anyone else. It was simple detective work, much like this, that helped me put the pieces together. I wonder if I should change my name & enter the witness protection program? Probably not since his threats against me were made public. It would be pretty careless of him to take me out now that the whole school has been tipped off to his secret actions, wouldn't it? Stay tuned for more updates on the length of Dawlish's hit list throughout the term & cross your fingers you never find your name on it! |
