I can't possibly be the only one that is thrilled by the fact that Samuel Craft, Penshire fifth year, and Senior Prefect is now offering his signatures to the general public! One can purchase a signature for 250 galleons from his shop in the Penshire Co-Op, and may I tell you that you definitely get your money's worth when buying a signature from Sam. All you have to do is fill out a simple form, pay, and your signature is owled to you before you know it! You will most definitely not be disappointed.
Art Resource Section

A few weeks ago, Ravenclaw students and Art Club Assistant, Jacyn Corbin, announced that the Art Club was to be getting a new section. This section was to comprise of pre-made tutorials, original tutorials, and links to good resource sites to aid students in the Art Club who might be interested in following techniques of more experienced dollers. I headed down to the Art Club section this morning to find that there were three subsections, each one of them for the purposes listed. There aren�t very many submissions in there yet, but this reporter believes that there will be soon. After all, you do get points for submitting something to Jacyn, after all.

Yes, it's true, Luna Lovegood of Ravenclaw has had a complete makeover! She no longer has her blond hair and blue eyes, rather curly brown hair and brown eyes. However, it's not only her hair that's changed...it's her personality. This is because her old life-long friend, Sara, died. Or, rather, she was killed. Sara always wanted Luna to change her hair. So, when she found out this tragic news, she decided to finally fulfill her late friend's wishes. Luna has yet to give more information. However, there is an RP going on currently in Ravenclaw about Luna's change. With any hope, all the answers will become clear. Everyone in Ravenclaw is very sorry about Luna's loss, and we hope that she will manage to get though this okay.
Book Discussions: Twilight

In the Penshire common room we have plenty of topics in our chit-chat area� some are about general topics, like �Summer Reading,� or �TV Shows,� while others will get more specific, like, �So You Think You Can Dance� and �Survivor: Gabon.� One topic features the book Twilight�the vampire sensation that�s gripping� well, just about everyone!
Not only is it a hot topic in our common room, but references have been seen all over the castle. From Hilary Stevens� �Do I dazzle you� in her signature to questions about it in �Ask A Professor� about it, Stephenie Meyer�s new series has everyone hooked as they anxiously await for the anticipated arrival of the fourth book of the series, due out this August.
5 Inches Tall?!

That's right, in the house of Ravenclaw, it has recently been discovered that Jolie Taylor is only five inches tall! Why we didn't figure this out sooner, we don't know. You'd think it'd be one of those things you'd just notice. There is much speculation as to why Jolie is so short, the most commonly accepted being that her mom was Thumbelina. How will Jolie go through her second year of school with such a disadvantage? Only time will tell.

Luna and Arya from Ravenclaw have been doing their 'Interview with a Newbie: *newbie's name* Edition' for some time now, but recently, there was another new interview with a newbie interviewer. An interviewer from Slytherin! So, what caused all this? We don't know, but it sure did cause an uproar in the Ravenclaw Common Room as it has been two Ravens doing interviews with newbies for quite a while and then out of the blue a Slytherin steals their idea and copies it. Oh well. We can always say that it had originated in Ravenclaw and that the Raven's ideas were so great that they had to be copied by others. Just shows how awesome we are. =D
They Did WHAT!?

That's right! Slytherin interviewers have stolen Ravenclaw's working idea on interviewing newbies. Even the title was stolen! The Raven's came up with: 'Interview With A Newbie: Someone's Edition'. In this past OG, we have witnessed this stolen article and title. Do they have no creativity? No more ideas? Or were they just desperate to get more articles? We shall never know...unless they come out and tell the details about their crime.
Riddles in the Chat

Just recently we had the End of Term Banquet, and like any banquet or dance, there was the Great Hall Chat active as always. On Monday night, we were all hanging around in there, and we started to create rooms with passwords. When a new person came to the chat, we would give them a clue or riddle on the password. It made for a quite interesting night. One of these was "this is about two people, both in the Harry Potter series and on the boards here and that the first is a first name and the last is a last name." That answer was 'lilyandsnape'. Another being "What has roots that nobody sees, is taller than the trees, up, up it goes, and yet never grows," with the password being 'mountain'. They made for quite great fun after a long Monday, if I do say so myself.

Wow, it's hard to believe, but I'm actually done with my first year of Hogwarts. Truth be told, when I came here, I didn't even expect to make it though one year, and I did. So, take that, low standards! However, in all seriousness, this has been a pretty remarkable year. I mean, it wasn't like I got top class or anything, but I did learn a lot and had some fun along the way. I made a lot of friends in Gryffindor, and I hope to make those relationships a lot closer this term. If I had to choose, I'd say my best friend so far would have to be Shannon Wood.
When I first came here, I was a reckless, sarcastic, prankster who never thought before she did anything. Now, while I'm still the majority of those things, I don't randomly release rats as a joke when I feel like it. However, I prankster I was born and a prankster I shall remain. It's just, now I'm slightly more organized, which still isn't saying much.
I have a lot of plans for next term. For starters, I'm a staff member. So, that should be fun. Also, I hope to become closer friends with those not only in my house, but outside it too. I'm not sure what's to come, but I say...bring it on!
Duck�Duck�Goose!

The game in the Ravenclaw Common Room, Duck Duck Goose!, is probably one of the most entertaining games in the whole common room. On Sunday, we had some great fun in there. Plotting schemes took place, and before we knew it, Arya's signature seemed to be full of things that that pesky Luna Lovegood forced upon her. The first thing added was big red, bold letters that read "I worship Luna Lovegood" with the worshiping smilie next to it. A few hours later, Arya was goosed by Luna again and "I am her minion" in regular, purple letters showed up in her sig. About twenty minutes later, Arya was goosed yet AGAIN and the words "I treat her like royalty" showed up in large, bold, blue letters. In Truth or Dare, Arya told Luna to post 'duck' in the Duck Duck Goose game, and Luna followed the instructions exactly, finding a loophole in the dare and having Arya add "I am HER pet DUCK" to her sig in green letters. Everyone was having a huge kick with this, wondering what Luna would make poor Arya add to her signature next. Who knows, though. It could be anything�

While this is, ironically, not a top ten list, I would like to express the utter importance of these lists in our Owl Gazette issues. While Top Tens are not always the most well liked of articles, they are an easy way to get lots of points, and they're fun! I myself have written Top Ten articles on everything from Harry Potter characters to activities around the castle, and it's always fun, because you can make a list about almost anything, and get points for your house while doing it.
Ravenclaw Empty!

As every house did, Ravenclaw just went through a huge clean-out. All the topics are gone, and only a few like the rules, the ever famous spam-o-lot, and a few new RP�s are up and running. I must say, for a first time viewer of this cleanout, it�s really a scary sight. Nothing�s there anymore. It�s so different to the way the Common Room usually is.
However, all in all, this is probably a good thing. It allows us, for the time being, to only have the important topics. Sure, in a few months, it�ll be as cluttered as it always has. But, for now, Ravens can now focus on what we feel is important, and work to perfect them. Then, after a while, we�ll worry about making our house feel less bare.
