Alright. Now we're into Car Camping for us talented folk. This style is rather lenient. For those who don't have cars, you can always use a broom and deep pocket saddle bags for the same effect. I'll get more into what exactly Car Camping is in the February edition, but for now, I'll leave you with an idea what Wizards/Witches might take on this style of adventure.

I've always received rather mediocre presents from Santa, but this year, I got COAL! Yea, BLACK COAL!
To my knowledge, I have not done anything wrong! So why did I get coal? As I thought about it, maybe Santa mixed up the presents! That would make so much sense! Another naughter kid got my nice present, and I'm stuck with his or her's. If so, I'd just like to say: "THIS IS SO UNFAIR!"
But that is not the case, unfortunately...I started wondering, 'Do I have to assume the role of the naughty kid so that Santa's reputation isn't affected by this obvious mistake?' My beloved mother, seeing me in such a state, went ahead and asked Santa, and received a surprising reply...This IS my present...COAL is my present this year.
But WHY?
If any of my fellow classmates can tell me what I did wrong this year (without me revealing my name, of course), PLEASE let me know! Thanks!

Making a decision on what you wish to be your career when you become older is a big decision. Many may have already made a decision or have an idea of what they want to do. It can range from owning his or her business to becoming an auror. Luna Lovegood, a 2nd year, has made hers. She wants to go out with her father and search for the Crumple-Horned Snorkack. The Crumple-Horned Snorkack is a creature often mentioned in The Quibbler, a newspaper owned by her father named Xenophilius Lovegood. The Crumple-Horned Snorkack is known to reside in Sweden. With this career path in mind, Luna must prepare to travel all over Sweden in hopes of discovery, proving the existence of this creature to the world and at the same time enjoying her time with her father. I hope that she will be able to do this and discover many other creatures as well.
As I asked her how she feels about one day traveling with her father to Sweden to see the Crumple-Horned Snorkack she said, "I really can't wait! It's always been a dream of mine! And daddy says that we can go once I get old enough...In the meantime we're just looking out for unicorns and such."
All I can say is good luck Luna, and have fun. ^_^

We've always had a mix of photograph, art, and pixel avatars. However, recently, it seems that avatars made using images of celebrities have become rather popular.
I didn't see this coming until my own housemates started discussing about which celebrity to use as their character's avatar. Curious, I asked them why the sudden interest in these avatars. So, it seems that the yearbook may feature the students by using celebrity avatars as a way to retain consistency from one student to another.
With that in mind, I joined my housemates in the search of a suitable celebrity. Before you know it, half of us have celebrity avatars, myself included.
Of course, I still adore the avatars I have from Professor Opal and Birdie. I'll still use them nonetheless, but celebrity avatars are on the rise. Who's your celebrity?

This past Christmas, my dear cousin, Gemini Huggle of Ravenclaw, and I decided to do something different...
Being the studious girls we are, we honestly did not have much time to go shopping. Even though we did make an appearance at the Shopping Trip; when others were shopping and playing in the snow, we were in our room doing our homework.
Needless to say, we deeply regret that decision since we were then faced with a situation in which we did not have much time, and were giftless. Then, an idea came and saved us from our Christmas shopping trauma...
So we went out and bought a pack of Friend Cheques, personalized with the Ravenclaw crest. Then Gem and I sat down, and together, we made written promises to our peers and signed each one of them. Just imagine how tired our hands were from writing so much.
With promises ranging from "We solemnly swear that you are up to no good, and promise to not inform authorities of this" to persons who shall remain unnamed, to Dawlish's "We promise to give you cake", we would only like to add that these promises are effective immediately, and will only terminate if the cheque is destroyed. So, keep these cheques safe, and we'll do our best to fulfill these promises! ^_^
