One night me and Zoey Taylor decided we wanted to play a little prank on Professor Lockhart one night in the middle of the night. We had decided while Professor Lockhart was sleeping, we were going to put make up on him. After planning, we put our plan into action.
We crept up ever so quietly up the stairs towards Professor Lockhart�s chamber with the makeup bag in Zoey�s hands. About halfway up the first flight of stairs, we thought we heard someone up above coming down the stairs to us. With quick thinking, we backed ourselves up against the wall.
After standing against the wall for a couple of seconds, the noise suddenly stopped. We shrugged it off and continued to creep up the stairs. After we finally made it to the hallway where the Professor�s chamber was, we heard another noise. We quickly ran into an empty room and hid in there. While we were in there, we had found many things. The one thing Ron found was a bunch of cobwebs. And I�m sure you can imagine how Ron felt.
After we heard that sound disappear as well, we crept out of the room and crept over to Prof. Lockhart�s sleeping chambers. We opened the door and entered and applied the makeup on his face. Afterwards, he looked pretty good, even though it was Ron�s first time putting makeup on anything or anybody. Zo didn�t think I did too good a job though.

The BB post-a-thon is finally over. After 2 weeks of the teams posting like crazy in their posting topics, they finally get to take a break from their computer. The teams were neck and neck with each other, trying to outpost one another. And here�s the results from the post-a-thon. As you can tell, most of the teams were pretty close in points.

The threads for the posting war were constantly getting hijacked from what sources told me. Some threads were hijacked more then others were. I also heard word that PAD was constantly complaining about her team. I heard she was saying things about how her team is a bunch of old people and they�ll never win because of that. That sounds like she was being a sore loser.

If you've been out on the BB at all this month, you might think Christmas has come early this year! Why is that? Because PAD just added 15 new smilies for our posting pleasure on the BB this month & she usually only does that around Christmas time! When asked what the occasion was, her response was this, "In light of recent events, as a treat to all of you I have added some more new smilies!" Regardless of what the 'recent event' was, we're happy to have the new additions to our smilie pool & always welcome more ways to express ourselves colorfully! The new smilies are: coolio, glomp, whip, cheer, worship, victory, tomato, tease, taunt, yum, nono, snub, puke, haha, & bdaybanner.
And, as if adding new smilies to the BB wasn't enough already, PAD gave each house a chance to choose 7 new smilies for their CRs! WOOT! Here is what all the houses chose:
Hufflepuff - whip, victory, worship, cheer, tomato, hehe, glomp
Slytherin - puke, worship, whip, snub, cheer, taunt, tease
Ravenclaw - cheer, worship, snub, tomato, tease, victory, whip
Gryffindor - worship, victory, whip, glomp, party, celebrate, hehe
Penshire - ack, tomato, victory, tease, snub, hmm, whip
Do you see any similarities between houses in the choices there? Seems that EVERYONE wants the whip smilie in their houses & 4 out of 5 houses chose worship & victory! Hmmm....seems to me this tells us a little something about us all, doesn't it? Anywayz, whatever the message is we take from that, we're happy to have the new smilies bouncing around the castle! I have heard a lot of speculation recently among the students of all houses about what type of job Prof. Lockhart might be doing today if he weren't teaching here at Hogwarts. Deciding to go directly to the source, I asked Prof. Lockhart for an interview on the subject. Of course, he was more than happy to oblige since he will do just about anything for publicity...uh, I mean...since he will do just about anything for one of his students. The interview was...well, let's just say "interesting" for good measure...& it went a little something like this:

KS: Thanks for meeting with me today, Professor! *smiles*
GL: Certainly, Katlin. You know I would never miss a chance to give back to the public, right? *winks & smiles*
KS: *rolls eyes* No, sir, you wouldn't! Now, getting right to it... *is interrupted*
GL: Before we begin, Katie, do you notice anything different about me today? *smiles again*
KS: Uh...*searching for something to say*...is it your...hair? *winces*
GL: Yes! You noticed, dear girl! I'm so delighted! *fluffs hair & smiles again*
KS: I'm glad! Now can we get back to the interview, Professor? *rolls eyes*
GL: Oh, yes! I wouldn't want to keep my public waiting, would I? *chuckles & grins*
KS: No, sir! Definitely not! *smiles politely but continues on before being interrupted again* Professor, did you know that you are quite the topic of conversation around the castle?
GL: Well, duh Katlin! After all, I am Gilderoy Lockhart, aren't I? *smiles & rolls eyes*
KS: That's true, Professor, but do you know what many of the students are wondering about you specifically these days?
GL: I imagine it's what most of my fans wonder about me. My eye color, my secret for my winning smile...I am the 5-time winner of Witch Weekly's Most Charming Smile award...did you know that? *smiles wide*
KS: Yes, Professor, I did...*rolls eyes*...but a lot of the students are wondering what kind of job you would have if you weren't teaching here at Hogwarts.
GL: Really? *surprised* How dreadfully boring! *fake yawns*
KS: Well, it's true, sir, so if you don't mind I was wondering if you could tell me your top 10 favorite jobs of all time...? *smiles sweetly*
GL: Well, if you insist that this is what you want to talk about, I'll do it. *shakes head in disgust* I think you're making a big mistake, however.
KS: I'm sure it's one I can live with, Professor! *smiles & continues* Now tell me...what is number one favorite job of all time?
GL: My number 1 favorite job? Let's see now...*thinks*...Oh! That would be running Donald Trump's empire! You see, the man is a genius when it comes to business sense & marketing, but his hair is atrocious! He would do much better with me as his front man! *smiles*
KS: Ok, great, Professor...*takes notes*...And what would be your second choice then?
GL: My second choice? My second choice...*thinks*... Ah, yes! That's an easy one! I would produce & sell my own line of hair care products! *beams*
KS: *mumbles "Why am I not surprised?" while taking notes*...Great, sir! And your third choice would be...?
GL: Oh, let's see now...*thinks*...Oh, my third choice would be to design my own clothing line! After all, there is not nearly enough silky lavender in the world, is there? *smiles while picking imaginary dust off jacket*
KS: Uh...*struggles to keep a straight face*...no, there isn't, Professor. *smiles sweetly* Moving on then...your fourth choice?
GL: I would have to say my fourth choice would be to take over for Oprah Winfrey! After all, she's the most popular daytime diva there is, but she's so yesterday! I think her show could use a fresh face like mine, don't you? *winks & smiles*
KS: Right you are, sir! *giggles slightly* Now on to your fifth choice. What is your fifth choice, Professor?
GL: My fifth choice would be to run my own chain of beauty salons! *smiles* There are so many ugly people out there that I can help if only given the chance! *frowns slightly & shakes head in dismay*
KS: I'm sure there are, Professor...*rolls eyes*...Now, on to...*is interrupted*
GL: For instance, you dear girl...*reaches out to touch Katie's hair*...your hair is so...so...blah! Why put it up in pigtails all the time? Why not let someone like muah have a go at it? I could make you look like a star! *beams & uses both hands now to play with Katie's hair*
KS: Uh, no thanks, sir...*jerks head away*...I like my pigtails but I appreciate the offer anyway. *scowls & then tries to smile* Now, getting to the interview, what is your sixth choice?
GL: My sixth choice? Let's see now...*thinks*...Oh, why haven't I thought of this before? Silly me! *chuckles* My sixth choice would be Minister of Magic! I could bring so much to the position, don't you think? *smiles*
KS: Uh, yeah...*takes notes*...And your seventh choice would be...?
GL: My seventh choice would be to take over Tony Blair's position as Prime Minister of England! Why just stop at the Ministry when I can go all the way? *winks & smiles*
KS: True, very true, Professor...*scribbles more notes & stifles a giggle*...Ok, that brings us to your eighth choice.
GL: Oh, let me see here...Ah, yes! My eighth choice would be to have my own photography studio! Most times reporters or the paparazzi never shoot me from my best side or know how to properly accentuate my stunning features. If I were to have my own photography studio I could hire only the best photographers & would always look my best no matter what! *smiles*
KS: Nice choice, sir...*smiles & takes notes*...Now, for your ninth choice then?
GL: I would have to say that my ninth choice would be to go into Public Relations! Although I'm not that fond of doing PR work for other celebrities...*rolls eyes*...it would give me a chance to be in the spotlight more often even if I weren't promoting myself, right? After al, celebrity is as celebrity does! *winks & smiles*
KS: Can I quote you on that, sir?...*giggles*
GL: Of course you can, my dear girl! *beams*
KS: Great! Thanks!...*smiles & takes notes*...Ok, one more, Professor. What would your tenth choice be professor?
GL: My, we're at the end already? Oh, dear...*frets a bit*...I guess my tenth choice would be...*thinks*...Oh! I have it! My tenth choice would be to own my own printing company so that it wouldn't cost me so much money to reproduce my headshots I give out as autographs! They can get quite expensive you know! *nods*
KS: I can certainly imagine they are! *scribbles the last of her notes*...Thanks so much for letting me interview you today, Professor!...*stands & smiles*
GL: Are you sure you don't want to ask me more exciting questions like what are my greatest aspirations or what kind of dreams do I have or how many awards have I received? *frets*
KS: Not this time, sir, but I'll be sure to interview you again sometime...ok? *hopes this is good enough*
GL: Very well then, dear girl! I'll be looking forward to it as will my fans!! *pats Katie's head & then smiles & walks off*
So, there you have it, folks! No need to continue speculating on Prof. Lockhart's top 10 favorite jobs of all time! He has quite the list, doesn't he? I have a feeling, though, that others don't think he's quite so...how shall I put it?...qualified for any of these positions otherwise I doubt he'd be here teaching us. LOL!

There have been rumors spreading around the school saying that a new class might open up in Hogwarts, in the next few years or so. Some have said that the class will be about �How to survive your teenage years.� Still others have said the class will be about �pet training.� But the real truth is that the new class will be neither of those. The actual class will be about �girls and how to cope with them� Taught by Ron Weasley, the Hufflepuff Heartthrob.
The class is going to teach girl crazed people how to win a girl over in Ron�s �five easy steps� trick. He has that the five easy step trick will be the sure to help boys win the girls over. Ron says he�s hoping that boys with girl troubles will join so he can share his tricks and his failures, so nobody else will make the same mistakes he did a couple years ago.
Ron is also looking for willing girls who would be willing to give help to the flock of boys by demonstrating the five easy steps method. �Don�t worry, girls. It won�t be anything hard. All you need to do is some acting.� Ron says. Once the class opens, it�ll be located in the dungeons next to Slytherin common room.
Ron has also said that in the near future, he plans on writing a book based on his five easy steps. The book will be available for any boys in the magical or muggle world who are struggling with girls and getting dates. A quote from his future book, �The five steps are so easy, a caveman could do it.�

As some of you may know a Quidditch Club was recently established here at Hogwarts, if you didn�t know, you do now. I myself am the seeker for the Chudley Cannons, though my heart belongs to Puddlemore United. The Quidditch Club was formed by Samuel Craft during the last summer term and is having a hard time getting started after having been closed for renovations for 3 months. Currently all positions are available for two of the four teams, the Wimbourne Wasps, and the Ballycastle Bats. On The Falmouth Falcons all spots but Beater #1 are available and on The Chudley Cannons 2 chaser spots and beater are yours for the taking. There�s even official spots available for those who would rather watch than play. It�s first come, first serve so get a move on! If all the positions on your favorite team are taken, you will be put on the reserve team. It wasn't until this past weekend that I discovered the Hogwarts Support Network, better known as Hogsnet, out in the Annex Building. I had heard of it recently but had never really checked it out myself. Curiosity got the better of me finally & I had to go have a look. Boy, was I surprised at what I found!
Seems that Hogsnet was designed by the staff on January 30th, 2005. The mission statement that was posted by PAD reads: "Our mission? To be supportive to anyone who has had dealings with internet predators of any kind! We are here to console you, listen to you, guide you, & strengthen you. All of us here have been victims of internet predators at one time or another so we know how harmful their actions can be mentally, emotionally, & sometimes physically. We hope our experiences will help you deal with your circumstances. We are not here to judge you, but to help you! The most important thing to remember while here is that you're not alone!" I was intrigued & moved by this when I read it! As I kept on reading, I discovered that it's not just about predators, though. It's about all kinds of stuff you should know about internet safety in general, real life stories that will make your hair stand on end, & helpful resources & links to visit if you're having a problem online & ne!

The forum is split up into two sections. The first section is called "General" & that is where you can read the mission statement, introduce yourself to the group, check out the area on basic internet safety tips, & find all sorts of helpful online resources & links. The second section is called "My Experiences" & this area is where members of the forum can ask questions about online issues or talk about situations they've been in. In this area, the stories range from internet predators to cyber bullies to the online spreading of rumors. I think it's really cool that forum members have posted their experiences here either to seek advice or to help keep others from making the same mistakes they made. And the support everyone gets - that's the most amazing part! Everyone seems to respond to those posting with genuine care, love, & concern. It just goes to show you how awesome everyone at Hogwarts is & how much we all love each other!
In closing, I just want to say that if you haven't personally visited Hogsnet yourself, you should take the time to go check it out! Who knows? You might actually learn something you didn't know before or might be able to offer some advice to someone seeking it. It's truly an amazing place & I can't believe I just now discovered how awesome it is myself! For those of you who haven't been there yet, you really don't know what you're missing!
