Silver Serpents Dominate
By Sera Rosehill

In the most recent Quidditch match between the Chaos Claws and the Silver Serpents, both teams gave a good show and fought the good fight. The Silver Serpents came out on top, with their Seeker, Kayla West, grabbing the snitch and clinching the win for her team. The Serpents have undergone some changes recently with a new captain taking the lead, new players being added, and some other students leaving the team. After a lot of practice and planning, the Slytherins hard work paid off in the form of their second win of the season! With Slytherin currently holding the Quidditch Cup, you can be sure that they will continue to fight to keep the cup right where it belongs; in the dungeons, snuggled up with Professor Snape each and every night.
Rebirth of the G-Team
By Amber Potter

The Gryffindor Quidditch Team is currently undergoing some minor constructions. A heart-breaking event has occurred in the house as Aerwin, Leah, and Manda had decided to leave, though they left the younger students with some inspiration and a stepping-stone. But on a happier note, Leah has returned to us and Fliss, (Felicity Hedwig) is Gryffindor's new captain with Kristin Johnson as Co-Captain. The rooster has been shaken up quite a bit but new talent has yet to come out of this reformed team. New additions to the team are Hermy Granger, Will Sutton, Hilary Stevens, and Adrianna La Cerva. Roxanne Whitez, Kalie Black, Felicity Hedwig, Kristin Johnson, Adrianna La Cerva, Hermy Granger, and myself make up the new Gryffindor team so far. Slytherin, Hufflepuff, Penshire, and Ravenclawbeware the wrath of Gryffindor! The Gryffindors are more than fired up for the upcoming matches, so rival houseswatch out!
Quidditch Quality?
By MoB

So, who else thought the Slytherin/Ravenclaw match was a complete travesty?  One would think the only players on the Chaos Claws team were their Beaters, as the Chasers certainly werent on top of things, at least not until late in the game.  This allowed the Silver Serpents to get quite a few goals; at least their Chasers knew what they were doing.  But, as those Slytherins are wont to do, they got cocky the more they scored.  Their Keeper left her post to go get peanuts, for Merlins sake.  What kind of true sportsperson
does that?  And then we see Slytherin Chaser Kiley Blaire get
knocked right into the stands by a Bludger.  Now, dont most competent Chasers manage to stay on their brooms, Bludger or no? This was obviously a damsel-in-distress style move on her part, especially given the fact that she landed right in the lap of one Professor Hyde Takarai.  Was it really a coincidence that she was floating directly above the Slytherin stands?  Doubtful.  She was soon followed by other such attention-starved team members Kitty Kitona, for one.  I understand being caught off-guard, but really,
were any of these players paying attention?  We can only hope that the next match, Hufflepuff vs. Penshire, wont be as much of a drama fest as this one was.
Slytherin's problem: Quidditch
By SOD

Well look here. I personally think that Slytherin should get a new bunch of players on their Quidditch team. First of all, they don't play fair. Running into people, getting peanuts, and landing in the lap of a certain professor. Goodness. No wonder the Ravenclaw team were taken off guard. This needs to be stopped. who ever allowed
these people on the team? Poor Summer from Ravenclaw, it looks like even though the players in Slytherin seem to be doing other things, they still get many shots at the Slytherin hoops. A couple times during the last game, it looked like Summer was going to breakdown from everything. Now we can't forget Will Potter, for he got practically ran over by on of the Slytherin beaters. How horrible is that? And if that's not all! Jess, Slytherins Keeper, at one point in the game got bored and obviously hungry. That girl just decided to get herself some peanuts, and some for the rest of her team. Now that was obviously rude. And then it looked like Summer was going to kill something. The poor girl. But then... oh my! Kayla, Slytherin's seeker saw the snitch first. How did Andela feel about that? The poor seeker from Ravenclaw. she must have felt bad, for she must
have thought that it looked like she was just following Kayla to look like she had seen the thing. Which is not true, the girl did see the snitch, and went after it to win the game. ...
Missing Junk?
By SOD

Is it just me, or are the Slytherins one Beater short of a full set? Prefect (special emphasis on that word) Jennifer Kull was MIA for quite some time during the 5th match of the season, Slytherin vs. Ravenclaw, and was only spotted whacking a Bludger once the game had been underway for quite some time. Could this be a sign that there's problems within the Slytherin team? Perhaps some dissension in the
ranks? First, we see Seraphina Rosehill take over as Captain...now Junk shows up late for the match? SOD thinks this topic requires a bit more digging...
Love Affairs
By LoV

So I said that I was the other of MoD, who would concentrate more of the love affairs of the castle.   But nothing much has happened during the past month, or nothing that I have been secretly aware of that has caught to my attention.  But I would like to pose some questions, just to leave you a train of thought.    Besides, who doesn't love the latest line of love gossip?

Is our Hufflepuff lover boy Kamron going to hunt down more girls?  Or maybe he's finally settled on choosing one girl for a hardcore relationship. . .

Perhaps time can only tell with these things but you can't tell me you haven't seen the two housemates together.   Only Gryffindor's "most potential couple" is on my list for now.

How about our Professors?  Surely, you have heard something going on between them.   Maybe this Valentine's Day has stirred up some feelings in our dear teachers?  I'll be keeping an eye on them, that's for sure.

These are just a few, I admit they're not much.  But it does seem that many students seem to be hiding their secrets and such.   If you are any of these students but wish to admit your feelings without being exposed, you know how to reach me.  But if not, here's another reminder, just for the fun of it.

Invasion of the Couples
By SOD

Has PADS gone from a site for friends, to a site for couples? Everywhere you look people are hooking up, breaking up, and then hooking up again. First we have Slytherin's resident half-gorgan. First she goes off and gets engaged to Darmean, the vampire. They do get married, until he runs away from the site. Now we find her marrying a special elf/staff member. That's sure to be some wedding.

Now we have Ron and Ciria, the cute red head couple. What about Zoey? Does she fancy Roger? Or maybe she admires her fellow prefect, Ron. Or, there's always Sam, a penshire prefect. Then there is Kamron, with a different girl each week. First Rye, then Jenii, and now he's off marrying Amanda and flirting with a certain professor.

Next, we have two couples from Slytherin, Tani and Kiley, and Kitty and Arien. Next, there is a Gryff and a Slytherin, Jenii and Jared. But that doesn't last long before Jared goes running off. Then there is Shal and Sephy, the Penshire Prefect couple. Oh, and Sera and her Head of House. Professor Snape must be worried about what will happen when Sera becomes a staff member. Oh, and a couple of Lions, Gawyn and Roxx, leaving a certain Gryff boy jealous. There's also Leo and Avery, they're awfully close aren't they?

What about MoD and LoV? There's definately chemistry between those to, whoever they are. Then Hyde has, well, his whole fan club. But, what about our Headmistress? Let's just say, this year mommy wasn't the only one kissing Santa Claus. So, quite a few students and staff members, have found love at Hogwarts.
Where did the Lions Go?
By SOD

It seems all the Gryffs are dissappearing. My current list of Gryff's gone missing contains: Aerwin, Manda, Jared, and Leah. So why all the dissappearing Gryffs? Might there be something scaring them away? Maybe it's all the new students in Gryffindor. Is Gryff filling up too fast for them? Or maybe it's a certain HOH threatening
to eat them... Whatever the reason be, it wasn't a nice trip to Hawaii for these Gryffs
.
House Mixing Gone Wrong!
By SOD

Ever notice how many houses are inter-mingling with other houses? What has happened to good old house rivary? And not only are there 'friends' being made, now they are actually coupling up! Take the certain X-Slytherin dating, or at least ask out a Penshire Perfect and ended up with another Penshire! Or the Penshire rumor- gather Roger Davies said to fancy a certain Hufflepuff Prefect?! E- gads people! Next a Gryffindor will be hooking up with a Slytherin! And if it isn't house-to-house, we got a certain half-gorgon planning to bush-whack an un-named Elf on staff with a wedding, and all of Slytherin is in on that one! She has a maid of honor lined up along with bride's maids, best man, groomsmen, piano player and even a crazy 'aunt'. When will the maddness stop. Ok, not the wedding, I call dibs on being the photographer!
Just When You thought it was Safe
By MoB

Thats right, Hogwarts, theres a new article writer in town; they call me MoB, and I bet you can guess where this is going.  Thats right, Im in with that mysterious MoD that you all hate so much, and together well become the truth seekers of PADs.  Im making it my personal vendetta to leave no stone unturned in my quest to uncover the facts about this place:  what goes on behind closed doors, which students are in too deep, who do the Professors really favor?  Theres so much to discover here at this school of magic that we all loveso many people who fly under the radar, just out of our line of sight; those who cause the most trouble behind the scenes and in the darkest of corners.  Im here to make history, so watch out, mischief-makers no rumor is safe from me.  But for those of you who wish to see something specific, drop an owl to
[email protected] and Ill make sure to get to the bottom of whatevers bugging you.
Down in the Dungeons
By MoB

You all know Seraphina Rosehill, right?  If you do, you also know of her rather blatant obsession with one Professor Severus Snape, Head of Slytherin House.  Call it an innocent schoolgirl crush on her part if you will...the good Professors feelings for his student, however, are anything but innocent.  There is evidenceoverwhelming
evidencethat Professor Snape reciprocates Miss Rosehills feelings.  Shes a Prefect, for one thing, which gives them plenty of reason to meet away from prying eyes to discuss school-related issuesor other things.  Hes got the tall, dark, and handsome thing going for him, not to mention hes a Slytherin; by their very nature, Slytherins will do anything to get what they want.  Weve
all witnessed this.  Plus, Professor Snape is the Potions Master need I elaborate on that point?  So, shall we let this sordid student-teacher relationship continue?  Send your opinions to
[email protected].
Pennie Collection?
SOD

Pennies, pennies, everywhere! They're copper, and creative, and face the other way from other coins, so why has PADs half-gorgon taken it
upon herself to collect them? Or has she? Jennifer Kull, otherwise known as "JUNK," has been reported to be "collecting pennies," but she does not mean the tiny little things of muggle money. She means PENSHIRES! Who has she collected as of yet? Only one person is known for sure to be in the bunch, Thomasina Sealy, but I'm on it. Also, it's said that Junk is going after Samuel Craft, next! No one knows as of yet why this Slytherin is gathering up the students of the
Penshire house or what she intends to do with them....but WATCH OUT!!!!!!
