Hi.  My name is Christina Henry!  I'm a senior, Exercise Science major.  I'm planning on attending a two year med school after Bloomsburg, majoring in Physicians Assistance.  I'm from Port Royal, Pennsylvania (aka hickville       ).  I'm a huge sport fan, esp field hockey.  In fact, I used to play for Bloomsburg.  I'm also a member of BU's WCE.  I love to sing and have a good time.  I truly believe that a good sense of humor will get you far in life.  I'm also a firm believer in the fact that all things happen for a reason.
I'm glad I choose Bloomsburg University because...
it's such a homey environment.  It's not a very big school, so the classes aren't too big, and you have a chance to make friends with so many people.  The teaching staff is wonderful.  Almost all the professors I have come into contact have been very helpful and excellent instructors.  They are all there for you, so don't be afraid to ask for help!
Discipline.  You have to be very disciplined to make it in college.  You no longer have your parents and teachers there to make you study, do your homeowrk, or even go to class.  You have to force yourself to do work.
Be yourself.  Whatever you do, no matter how hard it may be to resist it, don't give in to peer pressure.  It can definately get you into trouble.  Just don't let go of your individuality b/c it is what makes you special.  Also, don't be afraid to ask for help.
not only a wonderful opportunity to learn about the school and your new environment, but it's also a great opportunity to meet and make new friends.
The biggest difference between high school and college is...
My best advice to new students would be...
The BU orientation program is...
Since coming to Bloomsburg I've noticed some changes in me...
I've become more independent and disciplined.  Before I started college, I depended on mom & dad a little too much but now I'm more responsible & independent.  Let me tell you, it really opens your eyes to what mom & dad have been doing for you all these years.
The best way to succeed academically is...
Hardwork & Discipline.  If you have the discipline and work hard, you'll definately get far.  But just remember, don't be afraid to ask for help if you need, that's what it's there for.
