		Xbox 360's Backwards Capability is a joke

Just to let all of you know backwards capability is the same thing PS2 had. It can play PS1 games. That is backwards capability.

Microsoft's upcoming Xbox 360 gaming console will play some, but not all, old Xbox games, the company has admitted at the E3 gaming conference in Los Angeles. Following earlier indications that the Xbox 360 will only be backwards compatible with some Xbox games, Microsoft has admitted that existing software will need to be recompiled before it can be run on the new console. This lack of backwards compatibility follows Microsoft's decision to switch chip vendors for its latest gaming device - since the current Xbox uses an Intel processor, but the 360 will use IBM's PowerPC architecture, while NVIDIA's graphics solution is being replaced with an ATI one. Because the chips have different architectures, games need to be recompiled and tested for the new system. Microsoft promised to start on the process with its best selling Halo and Halo 2 games. Sony and Nintendo have already confirmed that their next-gen consoles - the PS3 and Revolution - will play all the games in their respective back catalogues, offering consumers a huge choice of titles at launch. Microsoft was unavailable for comment at the time of writing.

			Ok so lets review this. PS3 will be able to play all PS1 and PS2 games and Revolution will be able to play all Nintendo games. Ok so let's check out Xbox 360's backwards capability: 1.Xbox 360 is NOT able to play all Xbox games. And if you see from the article - ''Microsoft has admitted that existing software will need to be recomplied before it can run on a new console'' What that means is you will need to re-buy any Xbox game you want to play on your Xbox 360 because otherwise it wouldn't work.
