Mark July 20-22, 2001 on your calendars as reunion weekend. Plans are as follows:

Friday Night: 6:00pm Informal get together at the Treadway in Owego. Meet in the bar area. Many out-o-towners getting in late, so this will probably last into the evening.

Saturday AM Golf Outing for those interested at the Links in Apalachin. Times to be announced. Cost for a round of Golf and cart is $60.00/person. Contact Ron Roth at: [email protected]

Saturday 11:00am-5:00pm Swimming at the community pool located at the high school. Cost is $2.00/adult, $1.00/child. Pay at the pool that day.

Saturday PM Party Under the big tent at The Links 2350 Marshland Rd Apalachin. Cost is $30.00 /person. Reservations must be in to Patti by July 1 at the absolute latest. Payment must reach me by that date! No exceptions! Thank you

6:00 Cocktail Hour begins (cash bar)
7:00 Dinner Buffet including Char-grilled Marinated Chicken Breast, Italian Sausage, Onions & Peppers, Baked Ziti, Salad, Summer Veggies, Dinner Rolls, Dessert, Coffee, Tea, and Soda

Remember the 50/50 raffle at the reunion to raise money for the next reunion for start up costs.

Sunday 12:00-5:00pm Family Fun Day at the Hickories in Owego. Bring your own Food and Beverage. We have arranged for a pavillion. Signs will be posted to show you the way! Bring along sporting equipment and games for the kids to play. I have not organized anything specific for this day but to kick back and enjoy!!!

Some ideas from Laura Rice for hotels (as of May 1st):
There are no rooms available at either the Treadway or the Holiday Inn Express in Owego. I made a couple of calls to other area hotels and have blocked some rooms for people who might need them. The rooms vary in type of accommodation and price, and are blocked for the 20, 21, and 22 - hope this helps.
We have rooms available in the following:
1. 10 rooms at the Dolphin Inn in Apalachin (next to the Blue Dolphin Restaurant). The rooms are all non-smoking doubles; the rate for 2 people per room is $68 (or less - I believe you should get a block discount). Call 625-4441.
2. 5 rooms at the EconoLodge in Endicott (across from the EnJoie golf course). There are rooms with one and two beds available; the rate for 2 people per room is $109 for Friday and Saturday, $69 for Sunday. They also specified that there should only be one car per room. It's BC Open week. Call 754-1533.
3. 5 rooms at the Hampton Inn on the Vestal Parkway. These are all king suites ( living room, kitchenette, king bed, and pull-out couch); the rate is $139 per night. Call 797-5000.

The rooms are available to our group on a first-come, first-served basis: if you want a room, call sooner rather than later. When you call, ask for the block of rooms held under my name (Laura Rice, that is). I will release all rooms back to the hotels on June 21. Please let others know if you know they'll need a room.
