A book

Yoichi has an equilibrium of kindness and altruism, giving him an optimistic and sweet personality. This gives him a strong mental balance against his demon. However, he lacks strength and hates conflict. He wants neither his friends nor his family to die, but he doesn't want to kill anyone. Although he lacks the passion to exterminate vampires, he will do what it takes to protect his friends.

While Ferid seem to be kind and polite on the outside, the truth is that he is a sadist that enjoys seeing the hopes of the humans being crushed and the expression on their face when that happens. He prefers beautiful boys and girls, who are no older than their mid-teens, and he likes them much younger than that as well. He also showed no qualms or remorse upon killing human children, seeing them as nothing more than livestock and lambs. Also, he was shown to consider the humans to be ugly, cowards, greedy and somewhat arrogant. In particular, he calls the humans greedy and the vampires arrogant.

He is brave, fearless and somewhat reckless, which was shown when he attacks a Four Horsemen of John while ignoring orders.[1] It is noted not to be the first time. Yū is often called an idiot by those who know him. He is a very narrow-minded person, whose goal is to annihilate all of the vampires because of what they did to his "family," and he will overcome any type of challenge in order to accomplish it. He swore to kill all vampires because they killed Mika.

As a human, Mika was kind and upbeat in spite of the harsh events in his childhood. He was able to keep smiling and be happy because of his adopted family at the orphanage and even managed to befriend the extremely stubborn Yū. Mika was shown to be cunning. He allowed Ferid Bathory to drink his blood in exchange for good food, but Mika's true purpose was to steal a map in order to escape with the other children.
