What is a Slalom Practice League?
Thursday Night Slalom Practice League at Woodlawn Park is a USA Waterski Sanctioned Practice, presented by Tournament Services of Wisconsin, L.L.C. It is the perfect opportunity for competitive and novice skiers alike to practice course skiing in a fun, low pressure environment. The skiing discipline for the event is slalom � In this event the skier is pulled in a straight line between a series of anchored buoys. The objective is to ski around as many of the buoys as possible, in a figure �S� shaped course. Skiers may ski on one or two skis, depending on their ability. This is not a competition, except for the occaisional wager or challenge between friends.

When is it?
Every Thursday night from 5:00pm until Dark from June 3 to September 30

How do I get involved?

Basically, you show up ready to ski. In order to particapated you must be an active member of USA Water Ski or a paid guest. You must also be a paid active member of Tournament Services of Wisconsin. Skiers will be  pulled on a "first come - first ski basis" after all skiers have had a first round we will start a second and third round as time allows. All forms required for registration are available at the weekly practice. All persons under the age of 18 must have a legal guardian present at initial registration. There is no cut off  date for registration. No need to worry about attending every week, you may ski as often as you like.
 
What are the costs?

Individual Active- $55                              Adult:        $15
Junior Active-      $35 (Under 18)             Collegiate   $10
1-Day Guest-        $10                              Child:         $5 (15 and under)


Weekly Skier Fee: $10 First Round / $5 Each Additional Round
(A round is 4 to 5 attempts, you may purchase as many rounds as attendance will allow, additional time will be given to first time skiers whenever possible)

What equipment do I need?
In order to participate you will need an approved life jacket and water-ski. If you do not have this equipment, contact the tournament organizer; they will have equipment you can use at the practice.
