The Caladonians live a life of sex, pleasure, and scientific genius. Many of the tedious and menial work such as mining, housekeeping, and dog-walking are done by semi-atonomous robots, giving the people lots of free time to pursue the sciences, engineering, media, or simply to enjoy life and have fun. They love to show themselves to others, usually wearing little more than a skirt and sandals as they walk through thier meticulous cities. Farming, however, remains a hand done job. Many people take a pilgramage to the "back country" and farm for a few years of thier lives using the latest in technology to help them. Sure the might have robotic combines and plows but alot of it is done by hand, especially seeding. It is a tradition to revere ones ancestors for thier suffering before this golden age of enlightenment. Other than that many people spend thier time shopping, working in labs or offices, lounging in cafes, or having sex at random points in the day. Indeed sex is as much a part of thier culture as checking email or watering the garden. Many buisiness transactions and political deals are made more often in the bedroom than behind a desk. Some take a role in the military, squelching pirate activities and smugglers with the honorable Navy. All in all, the Caladonians live a carefree life and enjoy thier partners and relatives to the fullest. Carpe Diem= Seize the Day. |

Clothing and Fashion- The clothes, or lackthereof, reflects the kingdoms sexual lifestyle. The current trend is long flowing skirts with sandals or barefoot, with no top to reveal thier chest openly. Many wear a thin delicate cloak or mantle that matches, or flowing sleeves held fast by armlets. Piercings are common too, mainly the nipples. When a Caladonian has thier first child, they are given by the state an anklet made of gold, symbolizing thier addition to the kingdom. Thicker clothing is worn in cooler climates, such as Dorthonan, while the people in wamer environments, like Everhine, wear little but a thong, desert boots, and a cloak to shield them from the sand. All beaches, regardless of world, are nude. Why bother wearing clothes when your just going to get them wet? |

Occupations- Many people take to the sciences or arts in this kingdom. Architects on Dorthonan are famous for building thier cities in cavern, the skyscrapers coming OUT of the ceiling and going down like a stalagmite. The military offers many jobs and provides money for extended education. The media industry is big also, with thousands of starlets and celebreties on TV or holomovies. Commerce is also a big career, with markets available everywhere. Prositution is unheard of, and slavery was abolished long ago. Why pay for the sex when you can just go ask your neighbor if theyre up for a fling? And why retain the lives of others if robots can handle the job? While many argue that robots should please sexually, the state has decreed that no sexual robots be produced. Like I said...go ask your neighbor for an orgasm. The answer is usually Yes. The service industry provides alot of jobs, from cooking, serving, to bartending. |
