Chapter 12's unbelievable 3rd place finish was surprizing, but understanding the problems they had? with the sound equipment, it's understandable. They played a very nice set, but the sound sucked and you couldn't hear anything but the bass and the vocals. They had monitor problems and due to the bad sound setup, played giutar parts that couldn't be heard in the seats. Major bummer for an otherwise awsome band.
Cess Pools 5th isn't bad for a band that had only just starting playing together a few weeks prior, but the cymbal that kept falling over was an unfortunet, unavoidable thing that probably cost them points.
Cadence should change thier name to something that tells the people who are thinking about listening to them to something like "warning" or "tonedeafretards". They susked from start to finish. People were screamin for them to off they were so bad. And they broke the sound people's equipment with they're on stage anticts. It was no surprize they finished dead fucking last. Give it up guys. Try being an actual "boy bad" if you want, Just don't try and show everybody that you truely are.
A very surprising twist is the second place finish by Hellisher. They opened with their set very nicely with Slayer's Raining Blood. The funny thing is that it sounded good, REAL good. Then the song ended, this is where it all went down hill, and fast. It was litterally 25 minutes of the same 5 chords played as fast as they could play them over and over without any kind of real tone let alone sound. It was just loud, jumbled noise. I can't believe these guys actually get gigs. For a metal band, they were horrible. I know this band out of Donagal that sound and play better then these guys ever will. They, unlike hellisuck, can at least play their instruments and sound as one and like individuals. And heres a concept, they believe in Divercity of Sound. HOLY SHIT!! Form a record producer's point of view, I wouldn't give these guys a second look till they clean up their act and learn how to be musicians as a band. I've seen better drunks play better when they barely able to speak then these guys do. This was just disappointing. Guess it plays to sleep with a judge.
