| Who am I? I am Lucas Despres Overman. I live in the small town of Guilford, Vermont, and I am currently in the 11th grade at BUHS. I am 17 years old and have no idea what I want to do with my life. Maybe chemistry will show me something great and I will decide to go into a scientific field. |
| My favorite thing to do is play basketball. Or watch basketball. Or anything that has to do with basketball. I just can't get enough of it. Currently I play the varsity team at BUHS, and just recently I earned a starting spot. I am the second leading scorer on the team. I also play other sports; lacrosse, golf, and I am thinking about going back out for soccer next year. I am a very competitive person, which is the reason why I love sports. I enjoy doing other things besides sports too. I like to hangout with my friends and girlfriend and just chill. I like going to the movies, playing video games, and simply just lying around. Oh yeah, I'm a pretty big fan of sleep. My favorite food is the bacon cheeseburger, my favorite movie is "Office Space", my favorite band is probably Green Day, and my favorite color is green. |
| Each person has their own techniques that helps them learn. Some people can learn by just looking at facts in a book and memorize them just like that. Some learn best by watching films, and others learn best by doing hands on acitivities. I have found from my experiences that I fall into the hands-on category. I learn best by being able to see why something is true. I get to see with my own eyes why whatever it is that I'm doing is true. This is also proven by the fact that I got a 40 in Bodily/Kinesthetic category. I am very lucky because I know that most the stuff we will learn in Chemistry will be through labs. Which are hands-on. |
