Easy Crust Chicken Pie

2 or 3 cups chicken, cooked and chopped
2 cups chicken broth
1 can cream of celery soup
1 1/2 teaspoon pepper (or to taste)
1 1/2 teaspoon salt (or to taste)
1 package frozen peas and carrots or
mixed vegetables (optional)

1 cup self-rising flour
1 stick margarine or butter, melted 1 cup buttermilk

Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
Layer the chicken in a 13x9x2 inch pan.
In a small saucepan, bring the chicken broth
and cream of celery soup to a boil.
Add the frozen vegetables.
Pour over the chicken layer.

Mix together the flour, melted margarine, and
buttermilk.
Spoon or pour over the chicken mixture.
Bake for 30-40 minutes, or until crust is browned.
