Joey tells Pacey she will just wait a year and then reapply and she will be financially independant. Pacey tells her she can't because a year becomes a lot longer and before she knows it she will not have gone at all. He tells her  she dosen't want that, he dosen't want that and Dawson doesn't want that. Drue goes to see Jen and tells her what he knows of what really happened that night and of how she used him to provoke her father. She appologizes for using him and he accepts her appology. She tells him she dosen't know why. He tells her that she is not ready to remember and she tells him that when she does it will probably just give her another reason to hate her parents. He tells her that she dosen't hate her parents she hates herself. He tells her that the reason she is in therapy is to stop hating herself. He also tells her that she blames herself for what happened that night and that is why she can't remember and that when she remembers she will be able to stop hating herself. Joey goes to see Pacey and she confesses to him that she lied to Dawson about what happened during the ski trip and that she just got through telling him the truth.
