| Drue rigs the class election so that Joey and Dawson are voted Class Couple instead of Joey and Pacey. Joey gets very angry over this. However it is Dawson to the rescue when Dawson learns that Drue dropped off of the year book comittee after he rigged the election. Pacey tells Gretchen about what happened on the Ski trip and convinces Gretchen to leave her home for the night so that he and Joey can have a night alone. Gretchen decides to let them. Upon finding out that Dawson's parents are out of town for the weekend, Gretchen decides to go to Dawson's for the evening. When the subject of sex comes up, Gretchen is upset to learn that Joey lied to Dawson about having sex with Pacey. Gretchen gets so upset about this that she decides to leave before she tells Dawson what really happened. Dawson confides in Gretchen that he wishes that Joey and Pacey would just have sex and put the final nail in the Dawson and Joey coffin. The following morning, Dawson comes by Gretchen's looking for Gretchen. When he finds that she isn't there, he has Pacey let him use the phone to call and find out if she is ok. Joey hides in the bathroom the entire time. Gretchen comes home and talks to Joey and tells her that she had better tell Dawson the truth. Pacey gets back from the store in time to see Joey leaving. Pacey probes Gretchen as to what is wrong with her. Not wanting to hurt Pacey she tries to tell him that nothing is wrong. Sensing that she is lying, He tells her not to lie to him and she tells him that Joey lied to Dawson and told Dawson that she hadn't slept with Pacey yet. Pacey is hurt by this. Throughout the episode, Jen is stalking her Therapist to find out more about him. She accidentally bumps into him at a book store and he invites her to a poetry reading. Jen attends the meeting with Jack only to find that her therapists girlfriend is the poet at this reading. This episode ends with Pacey and Joey walking together and Pacey not mentioning to Joey that he knows she lied to Dawson. |
