Joey and Pacey finally dock at Capeside after spending a romantic 3 months travelling the East coast on "True Love," Pacey's boat. Their senior year is about to begin and Pacey thinks the one qustion on everyone's mind will be did they do it or not. Joey tells him no one will ask but is soon proven wrong when almost everyone asks. Joey and Pacey decide to take the night off from each other but when Jen invites Joey to the "Dive In," Pacey and her decide to go together. Meanwhile Andie has spent her day giving two French guys a tour of Capeside and is crushed to learn the one she likes best has a girlfriend. She decides the other will do. She has said a lot in front of him and is rather embarassed when he speaks up, Perfect English. By the end of the afternoon, she is a little relieved when she finally gets a kiss alowing her at least one summer romance. At the "Dive In," Joey and Dawson are reluctant to speak, but Jen and Jack team up to get them to talk. It is a little awkward, but they manage. Pacey gets upset by the two of them chatting and takes off. At the end of the evening, Joey accepts a ride home from Dawson. She informs him that he is the only one that hasn't asked "The Question." He tells her he is the only one the answer could possibly kill. She tells him the answer wouldn't kill him. Later on, Joey rushes to see Pacey and they make up. This episode ends with the two of them sharing a romantic embrace cuddled up aboard "True Love."
