MAWA started out with 3 backyard feds that took part in a few interfed shows. The show that started it all was "When World Collide", which occured on July 6th, 2001. From there, the likes of Wrestlefest 2001, and SummerSlamfest 2001 showed that all 3 feds could work together well.
At the end of SummerSlamfest, Timothy Boyd proposed the idea of a backyard "NWA". As you can see, the idea has taken shape, and that shape is of the Mid-Atlantic Wrestling Alliance. We hope to bring some of the best quality wrestling entertainment on the net.

MAWA spanned from September 2001, to April 2002. Many loved MAWA, and many hated MAWA. MAWA was a fed based on wrestling tradition. It was not puroresu marked, it was not stiff style based. MAWA was neither hardcore, or pure backyard. MAWA had its own style, the style that carried Wrestling. Wrestling's Tradition based style was enforced. Thanks to everyone that rode the ride with MAWA. Hopefully, MAWA will not be forgotten.
The final time the MAWA crew were ever together in any form occured on July the 2nd, when MAWA stars Overdoce, Triple X, and SBJ got together to put on a wrestling contest. We saw Overdoce defeat SBJ, but later on being upset by the one and only Triple X.
