Ride a Bike - Go To Prison! It is an old term, maybe not as well remembered as it once was, but still holds true to this day for the most part.

Task forces are formed every year with the express purpose of infiltrating Motorcycle Clubs and finding a way to put a large percentage of them into prison. But the underside of this isn't that they merely want to stop crime, as if that were the case, they would not need the elaborate schemes and tactics your tax dollars are spent on to acheive the same success rate. The reality is this: Ride a Bike - Go To Prison, Go to Prison - LOSE YOUR RIGHT TO VOTE. If you lose your right to vote, your voice for your individual freedom is silenced. The more Bikers with felony records, the less Biker Protest Rallies are considered meaningful. When you call or write your Congressman or Senator, what do you think is the first thing he checks out? He gives your name to his secretary to check to see if you are a registered voter. If you are not, your letter gets tossed in the trash and your voice is meaningless to him. If he receives a petition, he runs the names and tries to find out how many are registered voters, the higher the percentage, the less serious he considers the petition. Hence, your voice is muffled and/or muted, because your people were systematically removed from the voting public.

To see how this works, we only need to see the DRUG LAWS, specifically the laws regarding Cocaine vs. Crack. Crack is nothing more than cocaine in a different form. However there are long mandatory sentences for it's sale or use. Cocaine laws are less stringent and less severe. It is the same drug, the major difference is that cocaine is considered the rich man's drug and crack is considered the poor man's drug. You get more time for an ounce of crack than a pound of cocaine regardless of the purity of the cocaine. Drug addiction is a medical problem, perhaps of epidemic proportion in this country. However, the Government continues to treat it as a crime, which ultimately results in the loss of more and more rights. Do you think it was simply a metaphor that Ronald Reagan called for a "WAR ON DRUGS"? You do understand that in time of war, the Government can suspend your rights under the constitution for the sanctity of the Union. This "WAR" is now over twenty years old. Has the problem become better or worse? Are there more people in prison for drug related crimes or less? How many United States Citizens have lost their right to vote for being ill with drug addiction, having committed crimes they would never have considered were they not controlled by a substance. Are they pawns for the political machine, or are they really the evils of society themselves?

Bikers run Wild and Free, this is our very nature. As a result, some will get caught up in drug addictions. Our Club Brothers naturally will snatch us up by the scruff of our neck for our own good to stop and get us back under control. This is in our very cultural way. When we do right , no one remembers. But when we do wrong, no one forgets. Hence, we have come to help our own. This unity scares the Government, so what better way to diminish this threat than to silence the voice by locking up as many at a time as possible and removing their right to vote. The larger the Club, the louder the voice, thus appearing to be a larger threat to those who want to silence the voice.

Most Bikers come from Modest roots: blue collar, low to moderate income familes. One need not dispute the fact that it seems Corporate America would like us silenced. Public Defender's funding and salaries go down every year, while their caseloads go up. And funding for Prosecutors goes up and their caselods go down. Most Bikers can't afford the thousands of dollars it takes to defend against a criminal charge and end up with a public defender, who usually works to convince him to cop a plea agreement, which will ultimately take his voice from the voting masses. If Corporate America is caught in the same sort of criminal charge, their attorneys are quick to pay the damages as long as they do not have to admit to any CRIMINAL LIABILITY. Why do you think this is?
The right to vote is a powerful tool when properly used, and we are systematically allowing the Government to take this tool from our hands. The Government isn't supposed to grant citizens their rights. These rights are supposed to be a guarantee by the constitution. This was the fundamental fear of our Forefathers when drafting our Constitution, yet this now seems to have been reversed. More than one million Americans are in Prison, three times or more on some form of parole or probation, all having lost their right to vote. STILL THINK YOU ARE FREE!!

** It has been brought to my attention that not all states take away the right to vote from felons, or that they may earn this right back after a few years. I am certain that this was my mistake and not Outlaw Man's. Sometimes communication is a bit of a problem due to our circumstances. It is just a fact of life for now. I appreciate correction from visitors.
E-mail me if you catch me in another boo boo! Thanks......
