Outlaw Kennel is located in the mountains of southeast Tennessee. We specialize in Plotts, Walkers, and Black and Tans bred and trained for Bear and Boar by Wayne Wilson, Clifton McCarter, and Chris Henderson These dogs have been as successful in the woods as they have been in the many field trials they have won over the last couple of years.

Outlaw Kennel's Big Game Hounds are bear dogs and come from a long line of bear dogs. They have the skills it takes to get the job done. The dogs we produce have a few traits that make them distinct from the average dog. Heart and Brains They have to want to hunt and they have to be smart enough to do so successfully. Speed and Grit. They have to not only be able to keep up with the game, but overtake the game when they catch it. When they force the Bear or Lion to tree they have to be Tree-Minded and stay there until the hunter can reach them. Nose, they have to be able to strike or trail up the game even when other dogs cannot.
These hounds are hunting dogs, but they have won many competitions. Our dogs won the APA Tennessee Plott Round Up in 2005 and 2006.  They won the American Plott Association Breed Days, the world's largest big game competition, in 2005, 2006, and 2007 all three years we've attended. In our only trip to Spartanburg in 2006 they won the National Plott Hound Association Big Game Nationals. They also won the Virginia Bear Hunters Association Bear Bay, the APA Breed Days and the APA Tennessee Sectional in 2007.
