John Leathers in Parker County, Texas 1883-1884 ?
Born along Yellow Creek, the boy went out west to Texas!
At Age 18?
His father Frank was under trial and was housed at the Jackson,     county Jail in Independence,  Missouri as the boy was known to    travel from Texas, Oklahoma, Missouri, Arkansas, Kentucky and
Tennessee. It is believed he was in Denver, Colorado several times
before and after Frank's surrender. Along with his father Frank on
at least one occasion.

Would the James name survived through the years if not for the Outlaw Years?
A son is born on October 1st, 1865 near Yellow Creek,  before the robbery of the Liberty Bank,  April 11, 1882 an article appears by the Kansas City Times.
Dr. Aaron James of Dickson County, Tennessee.
Much information has been lost for over 100 years!
