Resting Place in Oklahoma
Ida Alice Hill was born in Texas on December 14, 1872 and Died July 10, 1958
Ida Alice Hill was buried at the Wright City Cemetery in Oklahoma. The wife
of Confederate Horseman William Monroe Hill,  Ida A. Hill outlived him by 47
years.

The Presence of Frank James and his son John M. Leathers, were at the burial
of her husband William Monroe Hill in 1911.  Attending her funeral were many
family members, including her son Miles E. Hill, Virgil Hill,  daughters Sophia
Leathers, Mellie Ida Williamson.  Robert Franklin James had visted in 1957 &
in 1958 attending her funeral as well.  His visit was at the home of Sophia and
Clarence Leathers.

Miles E. Hill was retired  and living in Washington D.C. Attending his mother's
funerial,  Miles had been working on some family history, and later died in 1963
at Washington, D.C.

Clarence Leathers, her son-in-law had appilied for the "Confederate Widow's"
pension before her death.  Document on file at the Jesse James Museum in the
file room. Kearney, Missouri.
