Muscle Shoals, Alabama lies east of Corinth, Mississippi in the county of Colbert. Several years earlier, near "Sweet Home Alabama" the robbery at Cornith, MS had occured in 1874.
From 1861 to 1882, the legendary Frank James, roamed as a "Free Bird" always one step ahead of his time. His brother Jesse was shot and killed by the young Bob Ford on April 3, 1882 as the whereabouts of Frank was unknown.
As the leader of the legendary James-Younger gang, Frank James would later face trial in the courts for the Muscle Shoals, Alabama robbery but would never be convictd.
As Muscle Shoals laid southeast of "Yellow Creek"� & near Florence, the Outlaw James Gang would be remembered during a time when Frank was one� "Son of the South".
As the Shaker who visited Sweet Home Alabama over the years and who has seen the performance of the Lynyrd Skynyrd Band live, has dedicated and Designated the Lynyrd Skynyrd Music as the Offical music of the legendary Frank James and the legendary outlaw James Gang.
